Chain Ferry Curry Mee~

One of my favorite choices for breakfast in Butterworth is the curry mee at Jalan Chain Ferry junction!! It is actually just a simple road-side stall serving beside a small corner coffee shop, with an extended area to accommodate the increasing amount of customers. Even with that extension, customers who arrived later still have to stand waiting for seats! Nevertheless, that simple bowl of curry mee is definitely worth waiting for a while~

Restoran Setapak Teochew~

Situated at Jalan Pahang, Setapak, this is probably the BEST place to go for Hokkien mee and fried bihun in the KL region!!! Restoran Setapak Teochew (文良港潮州餐室饼家) seems to be operating for a little over a hundred years since 1912 (according to what is written on the walls). It looks like an old-fashioned coffee shop thou, but with one section renovated and air-conditioned. I've visited this restaurant many times since years ago, and it has yet to disappoint me~

Peel Road Char Siew Yoong Relocated to Jalan Pudu Ulu!!!

The famous 叉烧杨 pork stall has moved to Jalan Pudu Ulu, Cheras. It is no longer a roadside stall at Peel Road, now it has its own clean, air-conditioned restaurant at Jalan Pudu Ulu~ Customers can now have their meals in a nice comfortable environment, with more tables and space to move around, as compared to the past when they were still operating by the roadside. More importantly, the quality of the food hasn't dropped a bit!! Due to their reputation and popularity, they are still putting "Peel Road" under their signage.

Lunch at China House, Penang~

China House is situated at Penang island, a long building that has two entrances at opposite sides, one from Lebuh Pantai (Beach Street) and another from Lebuh Victoria (Victoria Street). China House has a unique cafe-style interior design, with a coffee bar by the entrance and a variety of cakes and pastries nicely arranged on a long wooden table. There are racks of books for customers to read, and an art gallery upstairs too. This place is well-known for their cakes and desserts, but this time we were there for lunch.

Hello! It's me again, Tortoise~ This time I flew to Kelantan to visit a "special" friend, and she brought me around to some of the best food in Kelantan! Kelantan is situated at the north-east corner of peninsular Malaysia, bordered by Thailand to the north.

Tortoise's Week in Sabah!!!

Hello! I'm Tortoise~ So I've traveled to Sabah for a 1-week vacation, and it was a great experience! Sabah is the east-most state of Malaysia, situated at the northern end of the Borneo island which resembles a dog's head. It has beautiful islands and coral reefs suitable for snorkeling and diving. It also states the prominent Mount Kinabalu, rising 4095m above sea level (Low's Peak), which sits in Kinabalu Park, the first Malaysian UNESCO World Heritage Site.
